About Your Role

Reporting to the Senior Director, Mortgage Origination, the Business Development Manager (Greater Toronto Area, East) is responsible for managing a portfolio of accounts to achieve long-term growth and success. The Business Development Manager (Greater Toronto Area, East) will focus on being a value-added partner to all brokers in the Business Development Manager’s portfolio. The Business Development Manager (Greater Toronto Area, East) will generate further growth of their broker portfolio as well as develop new brokers to add to their portfolio.

What you’ll work on:

• Develop and implement strategies to increase mortgage volumes from referral sources/mortgage brokers within a designated territory.
• Manage the referral sources/mortgage brokers to ensure applications fall within the targeted risk area.
• Ensure funded volumes are at a level required to meet if not exceed the unit’s business plan.
• Participate in the preparation of the Annual Business Plan.
• Ensure an effective call program (both face-to-face as well as by phone or email) is developed and maintained for referral sources/mortgage brokers to ensure the maximum referral opportunities are obtained, through relationship development and management and more.

Senior Internal Account Manager (GTA North)

Manager, Underwriting

About Your Role

We are bringing on a Manager, Residential Mortgage Underwriting to review and approve new opportunities for our residential portfolio.

We’re looking for an Underwriting Manager with experience working in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment. The position requires the ability to make consistent and objective risk assessments as part of a high-volume, deadline-driven team. The Manager will be expected to provide daily leadership, mentoring, training, and guidance to team members, while also managing team operations, productivity, and efficiency. The Underwriting Manager will additionally be expected to maintain and manage their own pipeline of underwritten deals, as well as the pipeline of their direct reports.

What you’ll work on:

• Lead, mentor, and coach all underwriting team staff to develop them according to their personal abilities and development plan, in order to achieve company-set objectives.
• Enable team members to achieve consistent and quality credit decisions while minimizing errors.
• Monitor daily operations of underwriting staff, review pipeline volumes, track backlogs and manage workflow.
• Deal management and providing solutions to our broker clients as well as managing escalations and contacting brokers when needed.
• Maintain an efficient and effective workflow by managing the productivity of the underwriting team, assigning priorities, reviewing quality standards, and ensuring quality standards are met – Create and maintain various reports which will assist with the management of the team’s daily workflow and individual staff performance. Manager, Accounting

About Your Role

The Finance team at Magenta is a group of 5 highly talented individuals who ensure that we provide the best services to our internal and external stakeholders. Reporting to the Controller, you will be responsible to manage this dynamic team through financial reporting process being the audit lead. You will also assist with managing multiple system implementations for Financial Planning and Analysis and Mortgage Automation. • Adjudicating mortgage applications against internally defined criteria

• Ensuring compliance with privacy, anti-money laundering, anti-terrorist financing and anti-fraud policies
• Recommending applications for approval and issuing mortgage commitments

What you’ll work on:

• The incumbent will analyze and underwrite commercial credit facilities together with additional credit related and administrative duties, for conventional commercial mortgage product types. Attention must be made to ensure that compliance with company’s lending guidelines and procedures are followed with recommendations submitted for approval to management.
• Communicate regularly with internal contacts (funders, manager, underwriters, junior underwriters and originations team) as well as external contact (lending partners, mortgage brokers, solicitors, appraisers and consultants) to ensure transactions are processed in a timely and efficient manner in order to deliver superior customer service and funding deadlines
• On a monthly basis, the incumbent will be responsible for various administrative and reporting duties required for the department/Company which will be relied upon by Senior Management and Executive Leadership team
